The Moto G (2nd Gen) is getting the Android 5.1 Lollipop update in China, confirmed David Schuster, Motorola software engineer.
Owners of the Moto G (2nd Gen) in China can follow the instructions HERE, to download and install the update and check out the changes that are coming. There is still no word on when the update will reach U.S. owners of the device.
Android 5.1 Lollipop on the Moto G (2nd Gen) will bring Material Design UI changes to the device, along with revamped notification control, battery saver, device security and other new features along with bugfixes and performance improvements.
To check to see if your Moto G (2nd Gen) is eligible for the Android 5.1 Lollipop update first make sure your phone is charge up. Then go to Settings→ About phone→ System updates→ Check for updates.
