The developers of WhatsApp created this application only for smartphones, but it’s not impossible to install it on an Android tablet, if you follow some simple instructions. In this article, we’ll teach you how to install WhatsApp on your Android tablet, using your mobile number.
This is the simplest method, and all you need to do is to download the latest WhatsApp APK from the official website, but before installing it to your tablet, you must enable the Unknown Sources from Settings > Security, because only this way you’ll be allowed to install applications that you download from third party sources and not from the Google Play store. After installing the application, you must uncheck Unknown Sources, then launch WhatsApp and enter your mobile number, but since the tablet doesn’t support a SIM card, you will choose the Call me option. You will be called on your smartphone and a robot will tell you the verification code which you’ll introduce to verify your account. Because the number will be used on your tablet, you won’t be able to install WhatsApp on your smartphone, because this application works only on one device.
If your Android tablet supports SIM cards, then you shouldn’t have any problems with the installation, as you will receive a SMS text with the code, directly on your tablet.
Install WhatsApp on Nexus 7 using BlueStacks
After installing the BlueStacks program, get the latest WhatsApp APK and the SRT AppGuard APK, which is a tool that will allow internet access permissions for WhatsApp. You will need to connect your tablet to a computer and copy the WhatsApp APK and SRT AppGuard APK to your SD card, then right click on the WhatsApp APK file from your PC. Select the option “Open with BlueStarcks APK Installer”, which will add and install WhatsApp to BlueStacks. Then, you will install WhatsApp and SRT AppGuard on your tablet, but don’t launch WhatsApp yet. Open SRT AppGuard and go to the main menu to select Secure a new app, and in the applications list you’ll find WhatsApp. Select it and click on OK.
After that, you will edit the permissions of WhatsApp for your Nexus 7, by going to AppGuard menu, where you’ll select Manage your Secure Apps and then WhatsApp. Disable the Read Phone Status and Identify in the list option, then launch the BlueStacks emulator on your PC. Go to the My Apps menu, double click on the WhatsApp icon, then click on Agree and continue and then you will be required to enter your phone number. Of course, you won’t be able to receive a SMS code and instead, you will be called and you’ll note down the code, which you’ll enter to get verified.
